What's for dinner?

With the ingredients above, can you figure out what I made for dinner?

Hint...it's an old school classic.

Hope everyone is doing well.

  1. I'm with Mari, my first guess is meatloaf.

  2. 2 cans of tomato sauce and no egg for a binder made me think it is not meatloaf. I can't tell if it is brown sugar or breadcrumbs but if it is brown sugar I am guessing a bolognese. If it is breadcrumbs, I have no idea. Beef stew maybe?

  3. Ok, my friend! This is fun! I first thought goulash, but, no pasta. Then maybe chili. But, no beans! I really don't know, but I can't wait to find out!

  4. It was brown sugar (I guess I should have said that). All of the guesses were good, but SAM and Cheryl got it right. I made sloppy joes.

  6. Like a number of other commenters, my first thought was meatloaf. Perhaps because I have been craving it. But, sloppy Joe’s sound good as well. Fortunately, I took advantage of a ground chuck sale at the local market, so many hamburger dishes are in my future.

  8. I've never had a sloppy joe before but I love the name. I thought a meat pie though didn't see any spuds or dough. We use that same ketchup.

    1. I make a lot of meat pies but yes, this one was sloppy joes. It's an old Midwest US staple. We don't have them often but sometimes I get a craving.
