What's top of my mind: I really love the new side by side refrigerator that we bought in November. It has so much more space. I spent the morning doing an inventory and straightening it up a bit. I want to focus on using up last summer's veggies and fruit to make room. I still have quite a few bags of local blueberries, so I pulled out a bag and put a few in a separate jar to use with yogurt for couple of days and then made a batch of Jordan Marsh muffins. So good. Culinary Adventures with Lori: Search results for jordan marsh blueberry muffins
Where I've been: Breakfast with TBG yesterday and a few errands was pretty much it for the week.
Where I'm going: Next week is the yearly Herb and Garden show that I always look forward to. We're planning on going Friday afternoon to hear a speaker from Mari-Mann which was started by a friend of my grandmothers. Mari-Mann always brings back great memories for me. No appointments or commitments for the week, which you know I always love.
What I'm watching: American Murder-Gabbie Petito which is such a sad story. My heart goes out to her parents everytime I hear what they went through. The Search for Instagrams Worst Con Artist. This was a documentary on the young woman from the movie I watched a few weeks ago Apple Cider Vinegar. I actually felt sad for her also because she obviously has some serious issues.
What I'm reading: Nothing to speak of.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead!!
I have blueberries in the freezer I need to use. The muffins sound like a great way to use them.
ReplyDeleteI've not watched ACV yet but have it on my watchlist.
And Bravo to the ninja for coming to the rescue with the peppers. I will try to remember this when the garden starts producing.
I've tried a lot of recipes for blueberry muffins, and this is one of my favorites.
DeleteI have used the Ninja for dehydrating herbs and veggies and now that I've tried the Airfry roasting setting, it will make processing peppers a lot quicker. It is by far my favorite multi use appliance.
Sounds like a yummy week! Thanks for the recipes for muffins and biscuits.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week. The garden show sounds fun.
You are welcome. Wishing you a great week also and yes, the garden show is fun.
DeleteSounds like a pretty darn good week to me. Hope this coming week is just as good. Enjoy your seminar/garden show
ReplyDeleteThank you Cheryl. I am looking forward to it.
DeleteYour weekly meals always sound so good. I just love how convenient an air fryer can be. Mine of course is basic and only air fries
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann! I got this air fryer a few years ago at a great sale and it replaced our old convection oven and toaster. I love it.
DeleteIt’s Middle Child’s birthday this week, so I’ll be making her request of pesto tortellini with roasted vegetables and tomato basil chicken sausage. She always wants doughnuts in lieu of cake, so I have that to look forward to 🤓
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to her!! That sounds like a perfect birthday dinner to me. Sounds like a girl who knows what she likes. Enjoy!!
DeleteI have two air fryers. One in my toaster oven and a stand alone one. I hardly use each and I don't know why! Sounds like you have a nice relaxing week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI love our Ninja. I use it a lot for a number of different things.
DeleteRoasting veggies indoors is the best. I need to do that with my Vortex 6-in-1 more often. Today I get my taxes started, and then I will pay and move forward. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI need to do it more often also.
DeleteI have to get ours all together also. Not looking forward to that. I hope you have a great week also.
Love all your doings!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim.
DeleteI've got some veggies roasting right now and the house smells so good.
ReplyDeleteRoasted or grilled veggies are my favorite.
DeleteYou're not going to believe this BUT, we also got a new side by side fridge. I'm 74 years old and for the FIRST time I have a fridge that I can get cold water and ice cubes out of. Sad but true. Oh we had fridges with that feature but the hubster never connected the dots. Nor would I hire someone for such a simple thing. Anyway, I have instant water now. Better late than never.
ReplyDeleteI love the side by side. It's the first time I've had one and it has so much more room. And yes, first time for me having cold filtered water also.
DeleteI've seen that Gaby Petito documentary advertised but I don't know if I have the stomach for it. That poor young girl!
ReplyDeleteIt was so infuriating the way the police handled the situation when they pulled them over. They treated her like she was the aggressor and he was the victim. Very sad situation all around.
DeleteI have become obsessed with berries, both blueberries and blackberries. I have a bowl of them fresh every night with a dollop of vanilla yogurt, but I also have a bunch in the freezer, and blueberry muffins sound great.
ReplyDeleteWe love all berries too. This recipe has become one of my favorites for blueberry muffins. It's a keeper.
DeleteLove hearing about your Ninja. I only have one Ninja product and I love it. Though they took the tech from an expired patten, I still love that Ninja made an ice cream machine for a fair price for the home.
ReplyDeleteI have the Ninja Professional kitchen system and the 14-1 and love them both. They are amazing and do so much for two appliances.
DeleteI'll have to look up NPKS. I've not heard of that, that I know of.
DeleteIt has the blender, food processor, dough paddle and smoothy cups. It is a powerhouse.
DeleteOhh, okay. Groovy. I just googled it. Love that you have a powerful tool. Most excellent. I love my Vitamix and then I really, really, love my vintage yellow stand mixer. A stand mixer is one of those tools that I hesitated to get for many, many years. Now that I have this tool, I don't want to go without it. I. Love. This. Thing!
DeleteI bought a Kitchen Aide stand mixer probably 5 or 6 years ago and really wish I had done so sooner. It is priceless.
