Our old Food Pyramid was never correct in my opinion. Now hospitals, schools, etc. will have to start basing the meals they serve on this.
The US has a health problem, and I think this is excellent news.

ReplyDeleteI also think it's a good thing. I follow a high protein low carb diet (most of the time anyway!) except I limit my fruit to 3/4-1 cup a day due to being diabetic.
ReplyDeleteIt's a step in the right direction, though I personally believe that we are too focused on protein and not enough focus on fiber.

ReplyDeleteWe have been pushed to eat crap, and real homemade food with ingredients is the way to go.
