I finally found Florida strawberries today at Fresh Thyme. So excited. They are all cleaned and some are in the freezer for shakes or smoothies and a large bowl is sitting in the fridge waiting to be scooped on vanilla ice cream. I can't wait.
I hope the ones you got are better than the ones I got right here in Florida! Mine looked so beautiful, I couldn't wait to get home and try them - totally flavorless. I was so disappointed!
those are beautiful. All the strawberries here are mostly very large and not ripe at all. Like half the strawberry is white. They taste awful. I refuse to buy them.

ReplyDeleteOh no. These are from Winter Haven and very sweet. I hate getting tasteless strawberries that's why I don't buy California ones.

ReplyDeleteI won't buy California ones because they are tasteless to me. These are very sweet so I guess I got lucky since Martha said hers were not good.
DeleteWe have strawberries now here too, probably from Mexico. not cheap though.
ReplyDeleteThese were 2 for 5.00. Not cheap but not too bad. I just had a strawberry milkshake for lunch and I don't feel bad at all about that. :-)
