Things That Make Me Smile

I always find a quote to put in my journal to focus on during the week.  I LOVE this weeks as it is exactly what I've been trying to do.  I do not know where this quote originated.  Happy Thursday!!

"Live in the present and make it so BEAUTIFUL it will be worth remembering."

    I like it, Lori! So much wisdom there. Because Google is my "best friend", I, of course, had to google the quote and it came attributed to Ida Scott Taylor with her complete quote on it being:

    "“Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering”

    (She is also listed as Ida Scott Taylor McKinney).

    I'm going to remember this quote and try to live in the present!

      Thank you SO much for finding this information! Now reading the entire quote I do believe I have heard it before but still didn't know who to give credit to.
      For me, it is just too easy to get sucked into the mundane day to day cycles of life that I have to focus to stay mindful of what really matters.

    That is lovely. We (me) spend so much time wishing we are not in the present situation, when we should be relishing our time. We will never get it back.

      I just want to stay focused on what is truly important and not get wrapped up in things that won't matter in the long run.
