I love this sign! I may have to make one myself.
I don't put up any fall or Halloween decorations until the second or third week of September but I'm starting to get the itch. I bought a few new decorations and pulled the current ones out. The nightly candle has been a new one I picked up Midwest Harvest and it smells SO good.
I consider Halloween thru New Years my "holiday season" and I have to say I'm really excited this year as always.
That is a cute sign! I am sure we will start seeing decorations in the neighborhood soon. I don't decorate for any holidays these days but am looking forward to carving pumpkins with son and family and going trick and treating.
ReplyDeleteBetty
We LOVE carving pumpkins too Betty. I have toned down the decorations but I really need seasonal signs around the house. It makes me happy.
DeleteHope you're doing well and staying cool.
I'm like you. I feel like It needs to be past 9/15. Then I'll add a few fall touches.
ReplyDeleteI don't like to rush the season. Middle of September I decorate for fall, then October 1 I add my Halloween decorations. When it's over they come down and it's fall until the day after Thanksgiving. Then I start to put up Christmas. I like to celebrate each season and enjoy them. I know someone that puts their Christmas tree up the day after Halloween. TOO early for me. But whatever floats your boat I guess.
DeleteLove this Sign and whole post!!!!
ReplyDelete"I consider Halloween thru New Years my "holiday season""
And love this idea! It's new to me and I must remember it.
Love the different attitude shifts, which one can find, in Pretty Blog Land. All new ideas, give us a push and a spark. Thank you!!!!!
Thank you! It's always been my favorite time of year with 4 months of special holidays each so special in its own way.
DeleteThat's a cute sign, but I forgot what Halloween is like. For several years, kids stopped trick or treating where I live. I think the last time I gave out candy it was 2016, and barely anyone showed up.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get as many as we used to because they have a downtown trick or treat, and all of the businesses give out candy. I guess it's easier on the parents. We always have a big pot of chili and appetizers, play games and watch Halloween movies. It works for us.
ReplyDeleteAww, that’s a nice idea with the sign. My middle child, who lives with us (she has autism) still dresses up and hands out candy if we’re home. The last two years we’ve gone trick or treating with the grandkids and had a blast.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was so cute too. Trick or treating is so much fun with kids.
DeleteI like that sign also. I usually start putting my fall stuff out right after Labor Day. I put out more fall than Halloween any more though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today. Always good to see new faces.
I've been reading for a while first time commenting. I also do more fall with just a bit of Halloween in the first of October.
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
Nice sign! I usually don't put up Fall decorations until it's officially Fall by the calendar. Then I combine Fall and Thanksgiving and those stay until after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI do it sometime in mid to late September just to get myself in the mood. I thought the sign was so cute.
Deleteyes yes yes! I refrain myself until 1 October than Halloween isn't a day it's a month - and a lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteI put a bit of Fall decoration out later in September but Halloween doesn't come out until October 1 here either.
DeleteWell I don't do Halloween at all but I do have some October decorations that I love. I like skeletons and skulls, haaahaha! I also have a hearse that I put on the table, and a bird skeleton in a cage. I call him Cassius Crow, hahaha xoxo
ReplyDeleteWith those decorations it sounds like you do Halloween to me. lol Cassius Crow...too funny!
